By using Tickr Lab you accept the terms below. They are short, because the service is small and the important part is the first section.
01 This is not investment advice
Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Tickr Lab applies fixed, published rules to published market data and reports what they produce. It does not know your circumstances, your goals or your tax position, and it is not a broker, an adviser, or a registered investment professional.
Words like Buy, Strong Buy, Avoid and Sell Immediately are labels for the output of a rule, not instructions. Each one names the single rule that produced it precisely so you can judge the rule for yourself. Decisions about your own money are yours, and you are responsible for them.
The rules describe what is measurable today. They do not predict what happens next, and the site publishes its own research showing that most of what has been tested here did not predict anything.
02 The data can be wrong
Prices, fundamentals, earnings dates and company details come from third-party providers. They contain errors, arrive late, and are sometimes missing. Figures are cached and may be hours or days out of date; the site shows when data was last pulled, and you should read it.
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Verify anything that matters against a primary source before acting on it.
03 Accounts
Registration requires a name, an email address and a password. New accounts are reviewed and approved by hand before they can sign in, and approval may be declined without a reason being given.
You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Do not share a login. Tell the owner promptly if you think an account has been used by someone else.
An account may be suspended or removed if it is used to attack the site, to scrape it wholesale, or in a way that degrades it for anyone else. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
04 Acceptable use
Please do not:
- attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to any part of the site;
- automate bulk downloading of the data behind it, or redistribute that data as a product;
- use it for anything unlawful, or in breach of the terms of the underlying data providers;
- present its output to other people as advice, or as your own research, without saying where it came from.
Reading the site, using it for your own decisions, and sharing a screenshot or a link are all fine and welcome.
05 The mailing list
The list is confirmed opt-in: nothing is sent until you click a link proving the address is yours. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe that works without signing in and does not expire. Subscribing to the blog does not create an account, and an account does not subscribe you to anything.
06 Availability and change
This is a personal project run by one person on hosted infrastructure. It may be unavailable, slow, or wrong at any time; features may change or be removed; and it may be discontinued. No uptime is promised and none should be relied upon.
07 Content and ownership
The site, its design, its rules and its writing belong to Tickr Lab. Underlying market data belongs to its providers and is used under their terms. You may quote and link to what is published here with attribution; you may not republish it wholesale or resell it.
08 Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tickr Lab is not liable for any loss — including trading or investment loss, lost profit, or loss of data — arising from use of this site or reliance on anything it shows. The service is free, and it is offered on that basis.
09 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
